Mask System¶
Edition: Pro only
Pro only
Masked children, nested textures, and secondary overlays are available only in Texelator Pro.
Main texture¶
Every Step 3 part starts with a Main texture. Enable Masked to reveal its child area. The first child is added automatically when masking is enabled; use Add Mask Child for more children.
Masked child¶
A child is an overlay restricted by its owner's alpha. Its row contains a prefix field, image chooser, Control?, Sequence?, Masked, Secondary?, and × removal action.
- Control? on: the child receives independent placement control.
- Control? off: the child follows its owner control.
- Masked on: the child can receive a nested child.
- Secondary? on: the child can receive secondary overlays.
Nested child¶
A nested child is one further alpha-restricted layer beneath a masked child. It has a prefix, Control?, Sequence?, Select File..., and ×. Nesting stops at this level: nested rows cannot create another nested level or secondary overlays.
Secondary overlay¶
A secondary is an unmasked overlay above its owner. It shares the owner's placement and sequence behavior, does not receive an independent control, and can itself enable Masked for its own mask-child scope.
Ordering rules¶
Use Layer Order (top first): and ▲ / ▼. Pro enforces owner boundaries: a child stays in its mask scope, a nested layer stays under its owner child, and a secondary stays above its owner family.
