Additional Workflow Behavior

Edition: Core and Pro

Mirror

Enable Create Mirrored Pair in Step 1. Choose X, Y, or Z under Axis: and pick L_ or R_ under Original Side:. The source image is selected once, but Texelator builds independent left/right runtime placement networks. The generated-side image is flipped through its placement settings.

Projection and UV placement

With Projection? enabled, Texelator uses a planar Maya projection driven by a place3dTexture. With it disabled, Texelator uses the mesh UVs and creates a UV reference arrangement. UV references are collected under RIG/UV_Refs.

Image sequences

Enable is sequence? for a numbered image filename. Texelator scans the selected file's directory for matching names and extension, detects the first and last frame, and drives frameExtension from a controller attribute. It supports a numeric block before the file extension, such as eye.1001.png or eye_0001.exr.

Revert rules

Only the most recently built step has an enabled Revert button.

  • Step 1 Revert removes guides and returns to mesh selection.
  • Step 2 Revert removes controls and returns to editable guides; Step 2 can then be rebuilt.
  • Step 3 Revert removes only the final texture/material build and retains Step 3 file paths, checkboxes, and order settings.
  • Reverting Step 2 after Step 3 has been reverted clears Step 3 UI configuration.

Resume an existing setup

Open Edit Existing Setup, click Scan Scene for Setups, select a result from Found Setups: and click Load Selected Setup. Texelator stores stage and setup metadata on Texelator_<MeshName>.
