Tutorial: Facial or Eye Setup

Edition: Pro

Pro only

This tutorial uses masked child and nested texture controls.

Goal

Build a mirrored eye detail with a base texture, masked pupil detail, and a nested highlight.

Procedure

  1. Select the face mesh and click Select Mesh.
  2. Enter Eyes, enable Create Mirrored Pair, choose the desired Axis:, and keep or change Original Side:.
  3. Click Create Guides and position the original eye guide.
  4. Configure the Eyes control row and click Create Control.
  5. In Step 3, choose the base image with Select File....
  6. Enable Masked. In Child 1:, enter a meaningful prefix, choose the pupil image, and leave Control? enabled if independent pupil movement is needed.
  7. Enable the child's Masked option, then click Add Nested Child and choose a highlight image.
  8. Use Layer Order (top first): to inspect the family order.
  9. Click Build Final.

Verify

Both sides use the selected texture sources while maintaining separate left/right runtime placement. Move the main and, when enabled, child controls to verify their intended behavior.

Reset

Use Step 3 Revert to keep the configured rows while removing the final network. Use Step 2 Revert only when you also want to remove controls and return to guide editing.
