Tutorial: Facial or Eye Setup¶

This tutorial uses masked child and nested texture controls.
Goal¶
Build a mirrored eye detail with a base texture, masked pupil detail, and a nested highlight.
Procedure¶
- Select the face mesh and click Select Mesh.
- Enter
Eyes, enable Create Mirrored Pair, choose the desired Axis:, and keep or change Original Side:. - Click Create Guides and position the original eye guide.
- Configure the
Eyescontrol row and click Create Control. - In Step 3, choose the base image with Select File....
- Enable Masked. In
Child 1:, enter a meaningful prefix, choose the pupil image, and leave Control? enabled if independent pupil movement is needed. - Enable the child's Masked option, then click Add Nested Child and choose a highlight image.
- Use Layer Order (top first): to inspect the family order.
- Click Build Final.
Verify¶
Both sides use the selected texture sources while maintaining separate left/right runtime placement. Move the main and, when enabled, child controls to verify their intended behavior.
Reset¶
Use Step 3 Revert to keep the configured rows while removing the final network. Use Step 2 Revert only when you also want to remove controls and return to guide editing.
